Hello 2012 :)
To be honest, I am quite relieved that 2011 is over. Let’s just say the previous year hadn’t been my year for a lot of reasons which I am not in the mood to enumerate, recall and remember. It’s definitely not a year to reminisce but I think I handled it well. Of course there had been positive moments and I am thankful for my family, relatives, friends and all the people who had helped me get through the toughest(?) year of my life.
This year though, 2012, is going to be different. In a good, if not great, way. I have adjusted, coped and am definitely over and done with the moping, dullness, moroseness and melancholy of the year that was! Resolutions? I haven’t really listed any because I believe you don’t have to wait until January or the following year to do, change or improve something. You just DO IT, then and there. But there IS something I want to work on: it is to go out and be more social and explore the world! Having a home-based online job as a researcher, writer and editor for 2 years kinda closed me off from the real world making me a wee bit anti-social which sucks because now I have a hard time looking people straight in the eye or initiating a conversation, spreading awkwardness and stuff like that. It’s like I have built an impenetrable wall around myself that even I have a hard time taking down because I’ve been too comfortable in my own space for so long that I have barred myself from meeting new people, welcoming change and exposing myself to the world. I need to widen my social circle and be open to more opportunities for self and career growth. So yes, I am totally excited for what’s to come this 2012!
This year, is my 25th year on Earth. This year, I will be HAPPY and READY. This year is going to be my year, and describing it as awesome will definitely be an understatement!

Some pictures from my 25th birthday last Dec 31st a.k.a New Years Eve:

Me, sitting next to an invisible person. And FYI, not drunk. Really. =p

I don’t think there were any decent photos taken that night. Crazy family is CRAY CRAYYYY!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)
